In 2024, I explored the growing movement toward sustainable transportation and the communities driving change for a more bike-friendly Philippines, photographing bike culture across the country, from Iloilo's cycling infrastructure to the Firefly Brigade in Metro Manila, a group advocating for cyclists' rights and safer streets.

My curiosity stemmed from my fear of getting into an accident while cycling. During the pandemic, the emptied roads had many people turning to cycling, myself included. But before I could afford my own bike, the lockdown eased. The cars, jeeps, and motorcycles were back, and the bike lanes were already being encroached.
